When Kristoffer takes on something, he does it with enthusiasm and ambition. He has earned his pilot's license, run tough races and held management roles in the automotive industry. The common denominator is high goals and working systematically.
One of the tougher races was on the High Coast last fall. A trail race of 43 kilometers in hilly terrain in beautiful nature.
- Yes, it was much tougher than I thought. Damn, I was exhausted, says Kristoffer and laughs.
From the manufacturing industry
Kristoffer Johanson started as Customer Success Manager at AM System in Borås in January 2022. He comes from a role as Quality and Environment Manager at Akwel Automotive, a group with 45,000 employees worldwide.
- There, the quality function was clearly linked to all other processes and I learned how important and difficult it is to create a management system that is accessible, logical and user-friendly for everyone.
Prior to Akwel, Kristoffer held a similar role at CJ Automotive, which develops and manufactures brake and clutch pedals for many global car brands.
- At CJ, I was responsible for maintaining and developing the management system, which we had in AM System. We were certified to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and IATF 16949 and had many different customer specific requirements. Production was located in Europe, China and North America, which was both fun and challenging.
Via the service industry
That Kristoffer would spend 15 years in industry was not a given. He was trained in the service industry and has worked for both Ica and Clas Ohlson. He then worked as a project manager in sales and later as production manager at Specma.
- "Early on, I gained experience of working in project form with varied functions and roles. It has created an understanding of different processes and how they are dependent on each other.
With the customer's perspective
In several of his previous roles, Kristoffer has been a customer and user of AM Systems' platform. Something he benefits greatly from today, when he sits as Customer Success Manager on the other side.
- I hope to contribute with my experience and help customers in the manufacturing industry to achieve their requirements and become even better, with the help of AM System. It feels good to continue creating value within different organizations, he says and continues:
- I am also learning a new industry. Developing software and doing it in a tight team. I have always been impressed that AM System, as a relatively small company, can achieve so much and at such a high level, with great employees.
Onboarding and other added values
Over the past year, Customer Success in Borås has offered various webinars to spread knowledge in AM System's platform. They have also developed an Onboarding, which is aimed at new customers, or those who want to make a change.
- We have seen that many want strategic support and project management to get started and build their management system. Onboarding includes everything from internal anchoring in the management team and concrete training steps. With clear goals, exercises and feedback with the customer's process owner/project team. In this way, we can more quickly maximize business benefits for our customers in a creative process, Kristoffer continues.
Air and water as elements
Kristoffer is described by his colleagues as social and trustworthy. He enjoys training, sailing, flying and spending time with friends and family. His pilot's license is fairly recent, so he's looking forward to keeping that going, as well as his sailboat, a Maxi Fenix, which is in Varberg and is used extensively during the summer months. So water and air are strong elements.
- My absolute favorite place is the eastern side of Lake Garda. It's where all my life interests meet," he concludes.
