The football goalkeeper who catches balls at the support

Anders Norberg at AM System

The calm and tech-savvy Mac fanatic Anders Norberg is AM Systems' new support star. He is driven by helping others by solving problems. And he likes it best at the cottage in Norsjö.

It was just over a year ago, in March 2021, that Anders started at AM System. As Support Director at R&D (the development department). A year characterized by pandemic and home office.

- It was special to start a new job during a pandemic. But there were a few of us who were new and I still felt that it went quite well. We created some new ways of working, had digital work meetings and also ran some joint coffee breaks and online chats," says Anders.

Want to both understand and use the technology

Working in support is about understanding users and getting to know their questions. But also acting as a support for R&D and providing input on what customers want. To constantly improve AM Systems' services.

User consultation is nothing new for Anders. He has worked 10 years as a consultant with support development and operations for Skellefteå's local daily newspaper Norran and then it was many years as store manager at mStore, where he deepened his interest in technology with a focus on Apple's products. In addition, he is a good listener who is driven by helping others.

- "I get to listen to customers' needs, turn solutions around and at the same time be involved and influence.

- I'm still a Mac fanatic, an interest I share with several people here at AM. And I like technology, I want to both use it and understand it. So this technical consulting has been a constant throughout most of my career. Here at AM, I get to continue developing it. I get to listen to customers' needs, turn and twist solutions and at the same time be involved in influencing how our cloud service can be even better," says Anders.

From Norsjö to Skellefteå and AM System

Anders grew up in Norsjö, eight miles from Skellefteå. There he attended primary school and became a football goalkeeper. Then it was Skellefteå, the media program at high school and then system science at the university. His goalkeeping career continued in Skellefteå, in Sunnanå SK until he was 30.
- Today I play old man's soccer a few nights a week and follow my sons' own hours on the football field.

During his years at mStore, Anders has had a business relationship with AM System and followed the company with interest.

- "AM was one of our customers. I knew they developed software for businesses and had a positive image of them as an employer. I had also checked out the humor series "Kontorstid", which actually reflects the spirit that exists here. It's very humorous, down-to-earth but professional at the same time.'

- Our Office Hours series actually reflects the spirit here. Very humorous, down to earth but professional at the same time.

At AM System, Anders wants to continue to contribute, both with his interest in technology, his experience of systems and the way he listens to customers' needs.

- "For me, colleagues are the most important thing at work and I enjoy it best when I also see others develop. I feel that my experience of listening to different perspectives and problems fits well here. And since I have not previously worked with management systems, I also hope to be able to bring an outside perspective, Anders concludes.

"For me, colleagues are the most important thing at work and I enjoy it best when I also see others develop.
